The building I work in is located super close to lots of food places. Most of them are the same as what you see in any Singaporean office building- a mini food court, some 'upmarket' fast food places etc. However, I am also lucky enough to be just down the street from La Pau Sat, which means one really excellent place that others don't get- Satay Street.
I am almost physically incapable of coming to Singapore and not eating at Spize. On one trip back from the UK I had a five or six hour stop over in Singapore and some friends met me at the airport. Where did I want to go they asked? And Spize was top of the list! There is one thing that will always get me going back to Spize- the murtabak. There is actually a wide range of food served there and I've heard its pretty good. But why try something else when you have found the best thing on the menu?
So seeing that I am back in Singapore for four months you would think that I would be posting about some delicious Singaporean food that is not available in Australia and that I missed trying the first time. Well, unfortunately that is not the case. This post is about a food that is much more humble, and a lot healthier than my favourite hawker centre foods.
